GET INVOLVED TODAY!
Our community is built on caring for one another. We believe every family, every school, and every neighborhood in Fort Mill deserves to be safe and secure. That’s why we’re coming together to move Silfab’s factory out of our residential areas and away from schools into a proper heavy industrial zone.
Why Move
Silfab?
Silfab’s planned factory uses dangerous chemicals that simply don’t belong near our homes and schools. Even though solar energy is important, manufacturing that relies on these substances poses risks to our families and our environment. We want our community to be a place where kids can play and seniors can enjoy peace of mind without worrying about nearby industrial hazards.
How You
Can Help.
This isn’t just about saying “no” to something risky—it’s about saying “yes” to a safer, healthier Fort Mill. Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, or just someone who cares about our community, your involvement matters. Together, we can protect our home and create a future where every resident feels safe. Every one of us can make a difference! Here’s how you can get involved:
volunteer committees.
Legal Team
Supports our legal strategy by coordinating with attorneys, researching county actions, and tracking all government and agency activity related to Silfab.
Marketing Team
Manages communications across all platforms including the website, email updates, social media, merchandise, and community messaging to keep Fort Mill informed and engaged.
FMSD Engagement Team
Builds relationships with the Fort Mill School District, ensures our presence and speakers at all FMSD Board meetings, and keeps parents informed of school-related impacts.
Fundraising Team
Drives the financial support needed for legal and community efforts by organizing fundraisers, promoting $15 Fridays, and developing partnerships with local business supporters.
Community Engagement Team
Leads boots-on-the-ground outreach through canvassing, events, and awareness efforts to grow our supporter base and reach new residents.
Environmental Team
Focuses on the health and environmental impacts of Silfab’s proposed operations. Works on risk assessments, monitors DHEC and wastewater issues, and advocates for public health protections.
